Regina Families,

It has been a busy week at Regina with our seniors having their last day on Wednesday, along with all the beloved traditions that took place such as the final senior walk through the main elementary hallway, college sweatshirt day, senior breakfast, senior prank, senior locker posters signed by teachers, end of year awards ceremony, seniors vs teachers kickball game and the baccalaureate Mass. The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023 will be held this Sunday, May 21st at 2:00 PM in the Regina High School Gymnasium. We are so proud of this class, and all they have achieved and can't wait to have them become official alumni of our school! Once A Regal, Always A Regal!

Another graduation took place this morning with our youngest Regals. The Pre-Kindergarten Doves and Lions had their very own graduation ceremony in the front circle drive and participated in a family picnic afterwards. (See photos in the Early Childhood section below). It is hard to believe that in just the blink of an eye these students will be walking across the stage as high school seniors with a full set of Regina memories that are yet to be made! Congratulations to these students, their teachers and Early Childhood Center Director Michala Cox for a successful year!

Congratulations to:

  • Senior Grace Gaarde who surpassed 100 career goals this week and to the entire Regina Girls Soccer Team for heading into the semi finals!
  • Senior Mikey Takacs who earned the District Title and is headed back to the State Golf Meet!
  • State Track & Field competitors: Mya Whitaker, Reese Naeve, Alli Clark, Morgan Miller, Ella Keune, Dani Laughlin, Avery Recker, Avery Kies, Alaina Timmerman, Harper Erwin, Katie Molony, Caitlyn Bell, Ruby Eastman, Sydney Wagner, Alex Jensen, Samuel Welter, Levi Daniel, Edwin Gangba, Colin Olney, Jackson Naeve, Jack Ingalls and Drew Streb!

REGINA EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

This Week - The Early Childhood Center students put the final touches on the Nature Center to prepare for summer! Our students spent time outside observing how the changing seasons brought new life to the trees and wildlife. They hatched butterflies and will release them soon in the Nature

Students also completed their potted plants and tended to the garden. They practiced responsibility and took turns watering and caring for the plants. In the literature area, students read a non-fiction book about plants and conservation.

Today the Early Childhood Center celebrated Pre-K graduation for the Lions and Doves students in the Elementary circle drive, followed by a family picnic. Congratulations to our little Regals on this first major step in their educational journey!

Please contact the Early Childhood Center Director, Michala Cox at michala.cox@regina.org with any questions.

As a reminder, we are asking each family to sign up for two slots as the entire class benefits from this fundraising that helps raise money for the senior trip and other class events. However, anyone who needs stewardship or silver cord hours is welcome to help as well.
