REGAL WEEKLY

April 21 - April 25

Regina Community,

Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed!

After 40 days of Lent, we celebrate the joy of Easter. As you come onto campus this week, take a moment to notice the trees beginning to bloom—signs of new life that remind us of the hope and renewal we find in the Resurrection.

This morning, we also learned of the passing of Pope Francis. While this news was unexpected, we rejoice in the promise we celebrate at Easter: that Christ is risen, and that death is not the end. We unite in prayer with the Church around the world, and we share the words of Bishop Walsh:

“We give thanks to the Father for the pontificate of Pope Francis
and ask God to welcome this blessed servant into his merciful and loving embrace.
We ask Jesus to choose a worthy successor to Peter, the Apostle whom he chose to lead his Church.
And we ask the Holy Spirit to guide the Church again and still.”

Because last week’s message was paused for the quiet of Good Friday, this week’s updates are being shared today.

One reminder as we return tomorrow: arrival and dismissal can be slow, and our parking lots are often full. We ask everyone to move through campus with patience and a spirit of Christian service. Thank you for reviewing the current protocol below. We are currently assessing ways to improve traffic flow for the future, and we appreciate your ongoing cooperation.

And to offer an alternative perspective, remember that long lines are filled with the people who make up this incredible community. What a gift it is to be a part of Regina

Coming up this week: ESA application information will be emailed Wednesday.

Please submit requests for the Regal Weekly HERE by Wednesday 3:00 p.m.

CENTER-WIDE NEWS & INFO

Parking Lot Reminders

Dear Regina families,

As we continue to work together to ensure the safety and efficiency of our daily car line, we’d like to send out a few friendly reminders to help the process run smoothly for everyone.

  1. You may NOT park in NO PARKING ZONES. This includes: grass, curbs, school vehicle parking zones.
  2. The city has mandated a fire lane to be open and clear twenty-four hours a day, both sides of the fire lanes. This lane is marked with signs in the front and the back circle. These areas may not be used for parking at ANY TIME

CAR RIDERS INSTRUCTIONS: Car line is after school “pick up” for students riding in a vehicle. Follow the driveway around the high school parking lot. Please have a sign with your last name big enough to read from a distance and display it in the right-hand corner of the dashboard. This sign aids teachers in identifying cars with students. Your child will stand on the curb until his/her name is called.

WALKERS INSTRUCTIONS: If your student is walking home, the child will enter the walkers’ line. Teachers will walk students to the crossing guard standing at Rochester Avenue. Walkers may meet a sibling from the high school in the lobby outside the art rooms.

MEETING STUDENTS: If you are parked in the front lot to meet your child, have them enter the walker line. Meet them as they walk by in the line at the bike racks. (Do not wave your children over to meet you in the lot. Meet them by the bike racks and continue onto your car.)

REMINDER: Traffic flow is one way - please follow the signs marked “One-Way” to exit the parking lot.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping to make our car line as efficient and safe as possible.

Regina Yearbook

We’re reaching out from the Regina Yearbook Team to invite you to become a sponsor for this year’s yearbook—a project that celebrates the spirit, growth, and memories of our student body.

Last year, we gave the Regina Yearbook a total refresh—and the response was incredible! We added over 40 pages, increased sales by more than 100 books, and were awarded a Gold Level Distinction for featuring over 93% of our students at least three times in the book. It was our most inclusive and impactful edition yet.

With this growth comes higher production costs. We’re committed to keeping the yearbook affordable for all students, and that’s where your sponsorship can make a real difference. Your support helps offset these costs and ensures that every student has access to a high-quality, meaningful keepsake.

We’d love to have your business featured as one of our valued sponsors. Sponsorship levels and benefits are outlined in the attached graphic. If your donation includes a business shout-out, we’ll feature your name on our Instagram page: @reginayearbook.

Dear Class of 2026 Parents and Other Interested Parties,

We hope this message finds you well. We are thrilled to begin planning the Junior Class Post Prom party with the theme GAME NIGHT to take place in the Regina High School Gymnasium and Events Center immediately following Prom on April 26th! To make this event a success, we need your support and contributions.

How You Can Help:

  1. Door Prizes: We are seeking donations for door prizes or monetary contributions to purchase door prizes. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
  2. Games: We are looking for portable video games (Pac Man, Can Jam, Golden Tee, etc.) that can be easily transported, as well as board games and card tables/card games.
  3. Family Contributions: Families who would like to help support this safe and fun option for students are invited to donate. A suggested amount is $60 per family, which helps cover event expenses. In celebration of Easter, the Lambs learned about the meaning behind the holiday and why we celebrate it. They participated in a special prayer service led by Deacon Angel, who spoke about the Stations of the Cross and the sacrifice Jesus made for us.
