Regina Community,
We often ask children “who do you want to be when you grow up?” During this, our Homecoming Week, the best answer our littlest Regals can give us is “I want to grow up to be a Regal”.
Homecoming is about welcoming our alumni back home. The graduates who once walked these halls before us have created a legacy of stories, traditions, and a commitment to excellence that we proudly share with today’s students. This week, the Regina Foundation will honor five outstanding alumni who exemplify what it means to be a Regal. You can learn more about these exceptional individuals [here].
It’s exciting to see our current students weaving their own stories into the rich history of Regina, and it's exciting to witness. We remain dedicated to our mission of developing faith-filled students and are committed to continually seeking new ways to live out this mission as the world changes around us. The stories of alumni remind us that Regals go on to make a difference: whether by passing on faith and values to their own families or earning accolades for their contributions to their communities. This year’s Alumni Award recipients are prime examples of what it means to transition from walking across our stage at graduation into making an impact in the world.
We are grateful to our alumni for paving the way and remain committed to developing the future alumni who walk the halls today. Let’s keep them all in our prayers!
In Christ,

REGINA EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER
NEW
The ECC had a great homecoming week by participating in the dress up days within their classroom and attending the homecoming parade. We have Regal spirit, yes we do!
Our Nature Center curriculum has begun with lessons from Mr. Eric about different textures within the Nature Center. We got the opportunity to feel textures and then rub/color those textures on our paper. We have appreciated the opportunity to expand our learning experiences in unique ways!
Classroom Highlights
- Lambs: The Lambs began talking about Autumn and practiced their fine motor skills with a painting project of leaves on trees.
- Lions: The Lions made self portraits of themselves and wrote something that makes them special/unique.
- Doves: The Doves explored and spoke as a classroom about what they know about trees and things they want to learn about trees. They also made Home pictures with the letter H.
- Eagles: The Eagles practiced their fine motor skills with threading and beading their classroom trees (in the hallway). They also built letters with pine cones and twigs.
Upcoming:
-
September 30th: The ECC center will be closed for a teacher In-Service training day to ensure our new staff are meeting DHS requirements.
-
October 1st: ECC Picture Day! Preschool gets to go first to hopefully preserve our students outfits and hair! This is a Tuesday, so our Monday, Wednesday, Friday only friends will have their pictures taken on Picture Retake Day which will be November 4th.
Questions? Please message our ECC team on Procare with any questions or concerns, or contact the Early Childhood Center Director, Kimberlee Klein at kimberlee.klein@regina.org or Asst. Director Abbe Altman at abbe.altman@regina.org.
