Multico is on headed out on tour!

Multico students create and perform short sketches highlighting: culture, bullying, race, gender, sexuality and conflict. Multico tours over thirty elementary and middle schools each year.

ACCESS Testing

ACCESS Test of English Proficiency!

For our students with multiple languages at West High School, the window for their state-mandated test of English proficiency has 

opened and runs through January 26th. Your student received in their email their appointed test date, time, and location. Encourage your student to do their best to show off language growth and multilingualism! Winter Celebration

We will have our Winter Celebration on the afternoon of 12/19. We will have a modified bell schedule for the day. Here is a list of activities students have to choose from.

West is excited to be hosting an afternoon of learning on April 4th. We are currently seeking professionals, scholars, and community organizers to propose workshops for students and staff. National Honor Society

Juniors interested in being considered for membership in the National Honor Society at West High School need to meet the following criteria:


  • volunteered a total of at least 45 hours in two or more activities, with no more than 23 hours from a single service activity. These hours can be from activities from summer of 8th grade through March 2024.  
  • Service forms can be found on the West NHS Website


  • earned a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.5. 
  • have attended West High School for at least one school year
  • no unresolved behavioral issues/negative behavior record


Selection Process Timeline:


  • Early March – Letters of Invitation to join NHS will be emailed to eligible Juniors (and a parent/guardian). Students will apply by submitting two short essay responses (essay prompts will be included in the invitation letter) and all service forms documenting 45 volunteer hours. 


  • Thursday, March 21st – NHS application materials due by 4:00 p.m. in room 1106 (Student Services). No late submissions will be accepted.


  • April 8-10th -- Letters of Congratulation will be sent out to inductees.


  • April 22nd – NHS Ceremony of Induction 7 pm West AUD
