Our Native American Student Association is thrilled to bring the new documentary, Bad River, to West High School for two showings on May 31st.

This film chronicles the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band in a David and Goliath battle over a 70-year-old pipeline on the brink of rupture into Lake Superior, the largest freshwater resource in America.

We will be holding 50 seats per show in our auditorium to welcome community members to join us in watching this important film. Please fill out this form to join us for a showing of Bad River.

On Wednesday June 5th, following graduation rehearsal, we have buses scheduled to take our class of 2024 back to their elementary schools.  Graduating seniors who have not already signed up can fill out this form and pick up a permission slip in the counseling office.

MSCR has free summer activities for all MMSD students. Please register due to limited space. Come join us for fun this summer! See here for more information.

All students are eligible for a free youth summer bus pass. The passes are now available through next Wednesday for pick up in the SLC offices.

We celebrated the graduation of West's third DLI cohort on Thursday, May 16 at Hoyt Park. About 25 families plus DLI teachers from elementary, middle, and high school came together for a potluck and to celebrate the students that earned DLI certificates and honors. For students that could not attend, awards will be distributed in class.

Join us in celebrating our very own social worker Ms. Bertrand, who won the LGBTQ+ Advocacy Award on Friday. She was nominated for this award for her incredible leadership, advocacy, and compassionate work for our students and staff in the queer community. Thank you for all you do for our students and staff at West, Ms. Bertrand!

The 608 Team, a local Madison Real Estate team, is hosting their 3rd Annual 608 Day Carnival where guests can enjoy popcorn, sweet treats, bounce house, balloon animals and more! At this year’s event, The 608 Team will be collecting donations for the West High School Lunch program to eliminate lunch debt for our West Students.
