ORDER OF APPEARANCE
Quartet Corner
DID YOU KNOW???

Registration
  • You can SAVE some quartet money by: registering for competition BEFORE the deadline of Feb 19th (otherwise it will cost you $100 US MORE)
  • If you are thinking of registering your quartet with SAI (or missed re-registering last summer) it would cost you an ADDITIONAL $100 US to do so between Jan 1st and May 1st. So unless you plan to compete this spring, hold off registering til May 1st.
Competition
  • Feb 26th is when Region 16's Order of Appearance for our Regional Competition will be posted on the International website. (You may find it faster to google the request specifically rather than trying to navigate your way through the Int'l website...)
  • Quartets interested in Evaluation Only perform at the beginning of the competition, after the Mic Testers. Quartets in the International Division or Open Division (judges' comments but no numerical score or placement) are included in the random Order of Appearance.
  • The maximum time limit for a quartet on the Regional stage is 7 minutes (including Evaluation Only folks). For the Open Division, the time limit is 10 minutes.
Lifetime Membership
  • A Lifetime Membership in Sweet Adelines Int'l will be available for purchase ONLY UNTIL Feb 28th, 2018. It will be discontinued after that. It may be worth considering for you if you plan to stay in the Organization for decades to come.

Quartets Online

  • There are some NEW quartets in Region 16!! Please check out the Region 16 website quartet page:  Click Here.  There are TEN quartets who have not emailed a picture yet of themselves to Sue Heighway. A casual photo will do just fine for quartets who choose not to compete. We want to know your faces as part of the Region 16 quartet family.
  • Quartet members:  Please join the Region 16 quartet page if you haven't already:  Click Here

Circle of Harmony

Erin Howden with our front row!

Our front row couldn't imagine a better way to spend a freezing Sunday afternoon than with the always incredibly inspiring Erin Howden! The time flew by as Erin put us through our paces and came up with all sorts of new moves! Now our uptune is even more fun to dance!

Here is our chorus with the ever energetic Joe Connelly! What an amazing coaching session we had!  We love his musical ideas and his knowledgeable and humorous delivery!

The Circle of Harmony extends all good wishes for an early spring to our sisters in harmony.....Here's hoping we prove at least one groundhog wrong!

York Harmony

I ntroducing our brand new York Harmony Chorus logo! We believe that it represents a true reflection of our chorus.

YHC has jumped into 2018 with both feet; "Door #3" as we say! The fabulous Diane Porsch came to us for another coaching session early in January. She was just what we needed to kick-start us into gear for another season!

The next big event was our annual retreat, featuring a weekend of coaching by the one-and-only Erin Howden. We worked together as a chorus on our performance skills, as well as attending breakout sessions for riser and front row choreography. She truly lifts us to new heights as we prepare for our regional conference!

We were "All Fired Up" at retreat this year with our winter Olympics theme. Even more exciting was our Talent Night,  where - in usual YHC fashion - we make our own entertainment! Our newbies even got in the act this year, showing us how to do our warm-ups the right way!
Upcoming Event: Join YHC for our newest Death by Chocolate show.
This is our 2nd annual DBC show, brought back by popular demand!
  • Fill your belly with delectable delights and sweet treats
  • Enjoy the harmonious sounds of YHC
  • Treat yourself to something special at our vendor bazaar
