Region 2 Artist Fellowships

Fellowship Nomination Details

Deadline for Nominations:

October 1, 2023


We've changed our Artist Fellowship program from a grant application process to one that requires nominations. (Yes! You may nominate others or yourself!)


Eligible artists must live in our five-county region, and show excellence and dedication to their artistic practice.

Arts Support Grant


This grant is for nonprofits located in our five-county region. If your organization has a history of bringing arts activity to the public, this may be for you!


Applicant organizations may request up to $18,000 to use toward two or more arts projects and programs.


Eligible applicant organizations must have official non-profit status, or must be an arts affiliate of an entity with non-profit status.


Deadline: September 15, 2023


This application must be completed online. Go to r2arts.org to create a login.

Region 2 Arts Council Season/Series Arts Support Grants are made possible by the voters of Minnesota thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund

Anishinaabe Arts Initiative Grant


This grant is for enrolled tribal members and descendants who are seeking funding for their arts projects (which includes art/craft/performing arts/writing/public art and more!)


Applicants may request up to $1000.


Eligible applicants must reside in Minnesota's Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Itasca, Roseau, Cass, and Becker counties.


Deadline: November 1, 2023


This application may be completed with a paper form. If you'd like to apply online, go to r2arts.org to create a login and get started.

Our outreach coordinator is beginning a series of focus group gatherings to spark creativity and encourage artistic growth in our region.

Serve on a Grant Review Panel

Be a Grant Review Panelist!


Arts-interested community members living in our five-county region may volunteer to serve as community grant-review panelists. R2AC staff strive to find panelists with experience in a variety of arts mediums and performance styles, and/or experience in arts education, arts administration, or arts advocacy activities. Arts audience members and arts-interested individuals are welcome to serve!
