Did you know that the Indiana Horse Council has an Equine Assisted Programs Committee? This committee welcomes PATH Intl. centers and Instructors as well as those affiliated with other organizations. The new chair of this committee wanted to introduce herself.
Hello PATH Professionals,
I'm Tara Lane, newly elected to the Indiana Horse Council (IHC) Board of Directors and appointed as chair of the Equine Assisted Programs Committee. The mission is to preserve promote and educate the horse industry and the public in general. This is also the mission of the EAP committee as it applies to equine assisted work. Together with the inclusiveness of the IHC and various credentialed programs the integrity of the work can to elevated and preserved. A central listing of diverse programs and links to their prospective certifying bodies could be much needed promotion. The state of Indiana has an abundance of equine assisted applications. However, the public seems to have a narrow perception of the impact horses have, allowing for educational opportunities.

I am not an equine assisted professional, another educational opportunity. I serve as the Employer Relations Coordinator at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and collaborated in establishing the Equine Assisted Therapy minor .  I have met some of you in that role. I look forward to meeting you and hope to visit your facilities in the future. Together we can do good better.

I welcome your comments and suggestions. Don't hesitate to reach out via the following contact details. Volunteers to serve as committee member are sought and greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all you do!!
