Spring 2019
Important Updates
Dear CTEIG Recipients:

In reviewing expenditure dates and timelines for each round of the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG), we have found that CTEIG funds may be expended for longer periods of time than originally communicated. Please review this information for the new dates and timelines regarding CTEIG expenditures:

Fiscal year (FY) 2015–16 allocation of $400 million. The local educational agency (LEA) and California Department of Education (CDE) dollar amount match ratio is 1:1.

Table 1:
FY 2016–17 allocation of $300 million. The LEA and CDE dollar amount match ratio is 1.5:1.
Table 2:
FY 2017–18 allocation of $200 million. The LEA and CDE dollar amount match ratio is 2:1.
Table 3:
FY 2018–19 allocation of $150 million. The LEA and CDE dollar amount match ratio is 2:1.
Table 4:
Your LEA may be receiving a revised GAN for each FY that funds were received.

Reporting for June 30, 2019 will include expenditure and narrative reports for all funds received (FY 15–17).

An official letter will be sent by email.

Ask CTEIG Technical Assistance
I am still a newbie when it comes to the CTE Grant Accounting and am wondering if the table means that the funds that I am still spending down for the 18-19 school year can now be carried over and I have till 2020 to spend it down.
Yes, depending on which GAN, but those are the new spend down dates.
