Congratulations!
For all of you who have been around Region I for a while, especially if you have been on the Policy Committee or attended a Region I business meeting, you will recognize Debbie Chapman. She has been the secretary for the region as long as I can remember. We are delighted to let you know that Deborah Chapman was presented with the West Virginia Career Technical Education (CTE) Distinguished Service Award on Sept. 4 during the fall CTE Administrators Conference in Canaan Valley, West Virginia.
This award is given to CTE professionals for their leadership, commitment, and innovations in CTE and their contributions to the field over an extended period of time.
Debbie worked for 50 years in the Cabell County Schools District. She received this award as recognition of her creative and innovative ways of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences and for her dedication and commitment as an Academy Coordinator.
Congratulations, Debbie! This is an awesome and well-deserved recognition.
