Winter Quarterly News Update
Greetings, Region I Members! | I hope you all were able to enjoy some time off with family and friends over the holidays! It was great to see so many of you face to face at ACTE's CareerTech VISION conference in San Antonio, Texas! The conference featured speakers, presenters, exhibitors, and recognition. It was an excellent event, and San Antonio is definitely one of my favorite locations! Be sure to mark your calendar for VISION 2025, happening Dec. 10-13 in Nashville, Tennessee! |
Sincerely,
Douglas Bush

At the State Leadership Breakfast during VISION, there were three of our Region I states that were recognized for their high-quality state association. All states must submit an annual report, but with some extra effort and demonstration of meeting high-quality standards a state can earn the Quality Association Standards (QAS) Award. This year Massachusetts, Michigan, and West Virginia earned the QAS Award. Congratulations to those states!
In addition to the QAS, Massachusetts was recognized with the highest membership retention rate and West Virginia was recognized for having the greatest percentage of membership increase. Once again, congratulations to those states!

I want to congratulate our Region I ACTE Excellence Award nominees. Though we didn’t have any of our nominees that were selected as the national winner, Region I was well represented. We had great candidates and being one of five finalists in the nation is a great honor! There are people who come to mind when looking at the award categories for all of us, and I encourage you to take the time to submit a nomination!
