Competitive Events

Schedules:

Competitive Event schedules for Region I are posted, but will be edited the end of this week. An email will be sent once these changes have been made.

At the conference, after text check in the schedules will be updated one final time.

Please make sure that your students pay close attention to what is posted on the door so that they are not considered late for their competition.

Substitutions:

Any substitutions must be made on site in the event headquarters room.

Check In Procedures:

Competitive Event Check-in will be via text message on the morning of competition. The advisor listed as the primary advisor in the national FCCLA portal should expect a text message from the Lead Consultant(s) in all events their students are entered in during the designated time listed on the event schedules. Any changes to the primary advisor or cell phone number must be made by each conference's substitution deadline. Changes made after that time will not be accepted.

Advisors have until 15 minutes prior to the first team of the day’s event start time to respond and confirm entries without penalty.

If advisors respond after 15 minutes prior to the first team of the day’s event start time but before the event begins, they are considered a late check-in and must pay a $25 late check-in fee. Payment must be made in event headquarters by 5:00 p.m. that day.

If advisors do not respond or if they respond after the first team of the day’s event start time, the entry is considered a no-show and will be unable to compete.
