Fall Quarterly News Update

Happy Fall ACTE Region IV Members!

It is hard to believe summer has come and gone and a new year of career and technical education (CTE) is in full swing. Fall brings a new beginning to CTE students and educators as they begin or continue their pursuit of a trade or skill that will prepare them for career readiness. Likewise, as I write this newsletter, I am in awe of the many opportunities offered to our ACTE Region IV members this upcoming year. Regardless of your position or tenure as a CTE professional, you can find something to get plugged into with ACTE. Please take time to review some of these many opportunities listed below.

I am excited to announce the Region IV nominating committee has moved forward two candidates for the ACTE Board of Directors’ Region IV Vice-President Elect position. Voting will begin at the ACTE VISION Conference this December in San Antonio, Texas. You will have the opportunity to hear from our two candidates, Jennifer Snyder from Arkansas and Michael Ogas from New Mexico, at our Region IV business meeting on Dec. 4 at ACTE's CareerTech VISION. We hope to see you there!

Oklahoma is excited to host the ACTE Region IV Conference in Oklahoma City, happening April 2225. Planning is currently going on for Industry and Oklahoma Technology Center tours, exhibitors, keynote speakers, networking and an awards banquet. Call for breakout presenters and a tentative Schedule-at-a-Glance can be found at: 2025 Region IV. Conference registration is set to open Jan. 15

Sincerely,

Michael Culwell

ACTE Region IV Vice President
