Newly Elected ACTE Board of Directors
We congratulate the newly elected Region IV members to the ACTE board of directors:

Karin Davis, Family and Consumer Sciences Education Division Vice President-elect. Ms. Davis is Instructor at Tulsa Technology Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will serve a three-year term beginning July 2025.

LaDonna Selvidge, Health Science Education Division Vice President. Ms. Selvidge is a Practical Nursing Director at Francis Tuttle Technology Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She will serve a three-year term beginning July 2024.

Newly Elected ACTE Board of Directors
ACTE's CareerTech VISION 2023 was a huge success in Phoenix, Arizona. I hope, for those of you who attended, you enjoyed the conference, had the opportunity to collaborate with other CTE professionals and participated in valuable professional development.

The Region IV Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is shaping up to be an amazing event thanks to, the New Mexico members! There have been some hiccups with their website, but they have corrected the problems now.

One new thing at the Region IV Conference will be a Best Practices Pre-Conference on Wednesday, April 17 from 1:00-2:00 pm. The pre-conference aligns with our Region’s strategic plan of member value and engagement and will be a fantastic opportunity for members, executive directors, committee members and Fellows to share best practices from each of our six states.
We hope to see you in Albuquerque, April 17-19!

REGION IV FELLOWS
The application period for the Cohort III of the Region IV Fellows is open.
The application for Region IV members is available using the following link, and is due by Jan. 26. The goal is to select the next cohort members in time for them to make travel arrangements to the ACTE Region IV Conference in Albuquerque, April 17-19.

Come voice your opinion on CTE policy and programming, and share what your community needs, at ACTE’s National Policy Seminar, happening March 17–20 in Arlington, Virginia. Featured sessions will cover best practices for influencing federal policy and CTE advocacy and messaging. And on the last day of the event, March 20, the CTE Research Network will address topics that will help expand the evidence base for CTE.

VISION Call for Session Proposals Opens Soon!
Join CTE professionals at ACTE’s CareerTech VISION, happening Dec. 4–7 in San Antonio, Texas. We are seeking session proposals that address the full range of conversations happening in CTE. As educators, you seek to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their careers! And ACTE seeks to support you in those endeavors. Best Practices Call for Proposals Now Open!
Happening Oct. 9–11 in Portland, Oregon, ACTE’s and NCLA’s Best Practices and Innovations in CTE Conference is seeking session proposals to strengthen the field for CTE administrators of both secondary and postsecondary CTE programs and institutions. The deadline to submit presentation proposals is March 8.

Online Entrepreneurship Institute Supports Teachers
This all-new Entrepreneurship Institute runs in two parts, Feb. 19–March 22 and April 8–May 17, and offers participants instructional best practices, classroom-ready resources, and assignments that they can use with their students. Easily customizable, the Institute’s online modules are self-paced. And live Zoom classes feature introductions to community partners and breakout groups for national networking, resource sharing, and lesson planning. Attendees will receive 55 hours of professional development or an optional three hours of undergraduate or graduate credit.
