Hey teammates!

School is back in and FCA huddles are gathering throughout the region on nearly every campus. Huddles are forming in league and club environments and soon in church connected leagues. God’s word will be the centerpiece of the gathering as athletes and coaches discuss and learn what it means to abide in Jesus (John 15:1-8). Staff and mobilized volunteers will engage, equip, and empower student athletes and coaches and help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus who are on a disciple making journey.

You’ve got to love this time of the year when literally thousands will converge in stadiums at Fields of Faith events to worship, pray, share testimonies, and proclaim the Gospel message. Scores of young men and women will place their faith and trust in Jesus and many more will accept the challenge of the great commission to go into all the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).

FCA Coaches Bible studies will form by the hundreds, and America’s greatest influencers will get better at coaching the “heart behind jersey.” They will learn how to become 3 dimensional in their approach and grow as a 360 coach. They will shift from being transactional to transformational which will no longer allow the scoreboard to define them or their players. They will redefine success and it will no longer be primarily about performance but about growing in a personal relationship with Jesus.

Staff will be pursuing a deeper relationship with Jesus by spending time in God’s presence through prayer, worship, study, silence, solitude, rest, and many other the spiritual disciplines. We will be working to mobilize volunteers to become disciple makers in the arena of sport. We will be praying for God to raise up new laborers to serve in the harvest and help us get closer to fulfilling our vision-based staffing plans. We will be casting vision with potential partners to help fund the ministry. We will be careful to give God all the glory for all that is accomplished in and through the name of Jesus!!

ADVANCEMENT

EVENTS, UPDATES, & MINISTRY WINS

BOARD & DONOR ADVANCEMENT

REGIONAL DIRECTOR: JOHN HEATER

LANE FOCUS: To support staff in identifying, engaging, and stewarding donors and board members through coaching, resources, and aligned advancement strategy that strengthens and sustains ministry.

Identifying strong donor prospects can be a fun but challenging experiencing for staff. It requires time, research, relationship building and that is if you actually can get a meeting with the donor prospect. Understanding the A3 process will help guide you.

WHAT IS A3?

AFFINITY:

Do they care? Do they have a passion for our ministry?

ACCESS:

Can we reach them? Do you or someone in your circle have the ability to make a connection?

ABILITY:

Could they give? Understanding their capacity to give will help you rate their ability.

Once you identify and score each one you will know which donors to begin courting for financial partnership.
