1st-Time Attendee Conference Stipend Opportunity

Region V ACTE is pleased to offer a 1st-Time Attendee Conference Stipend to support members attending the Region V Leadership Conference for the first time.

Eligibility

Any Region V ACTE member who is a first-time attendee at the Region V Leadership Conference.

Award

Up to ten (10) $500 stipends will be awarded.

The stipend is distributed over two years, with:

• $250 paid upon attending the first conference, and
• $250 paid upon attending the following conference.

Awards will be announced at the Region V Conference. Recipients must be present at the Business Meeting to receive the stipend.

This is a great opportunity for new attendees to receive financial support while engaging in leadership development and networking at the Region V level.

As we kick off the new year, Region V is preparing to celebrate the incredible talent and dedication within our CTE community! This is a friendly reminder for state leaders and members to ensure all state award winners are advanced to the ACTE Region V Awards Portal by March 1. Please remember that a complete submission requires both the portal application and a video interview. Additionally, we are seeking nominations for the Region V Innovative Program Award, which highlights unique and impactful programs across our region. Detailed resources, including video interview questions, scoring rubrics, and the Innovative Program nomination form, are available on the Region V Awards Website. Region V Legislative & Resolutions Committee

Are you passionate about the future of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and eager to become actively involved within Region V? We are seeking interested members to join the ACTE Region V Legislative & Resolutions Committee! This committee provides the opportunity to review and discuss state and national legislative topics, making informed reports to the Policy Committee on actions that impact the CTE community. Region V Awards Committee

Are you dedicated to recognizing excellence and celebrating the achievements of your peers in Career and Technical Education? We are looking for enthusiastic members to join the ACTE Region V Awards Committee! This committee plays a vital role in reviewing award applications and selecting the outstanding educators and programs that represent the best of our region. It is a rewarding way to gain insight into the innovative work happening across Region V while honoring those who go above and beyond for their students. Region V Marketing, Membership & New Ideas Committee

Do you have a knack for communication or a vision for growing our professional community? The ACTE Region V Marketing, Membership & New Ideas Committee is seeking creative and driven members to help us expand our reach! This committee focuses on developing strategies to recruit and retain members, enhancing our regional brand, and brainstorming "New Ideas" to keep Region V at the forefront of the CTE landscape. Region V Nominating Committee

Are you interested in identifying and cultivating the next generation of leaders for Region V? Join the ACTE Region V Nominating Committee! This committee is responsible for seeking out qualified candidates for regional leadership positions and ensuring a fair and robust election process. By serving on this committee, you play a pivotal role in maintaining the strength and integrity of our regional leadership pipeline. This role offers a unique "behind-the-scenes" look at the organization’s structure and is conducted entirely through online meetings. Region V Strategic Plan

The Region V policy committee members developed a promising and aggressive strategic plan. There are six areas of focus: advocacy and awareness, member value and engagement, inclusion, access, equity, and diversity, professional and leadership development, strategic partnerships, and teacher recruitment and retention.
