Maintaining the Pressure
As we move through the first quarter of 2017, politicos in our fair city turn their thoughts to our upcoming municipal elections. This year will be especially interesting as it brings the first district elections in districts 4, 5 and 6, as well as the Mayor's race. To top it off, only one of the four races will feature an incumbent, as two Council Members and the Mayor have reached their term limits.
Over the next few months, I'll be meeting with folks who might be interested in running for office, offering my thoughts on how they might fair in their races, and suggesting where they might find folks willing to help. If you're considering jumping in, feel free to give me a call or drop me an email ... I'd love to chat!

Karl Evers moved to Santa Barbara in 2012 from Sweden to study at Santa Barbara City College. After receiving his Associate Degree in Marketing he decided to continue his education through Antioch University Santa Barbara, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts with concentrations in Marketing and Business. After being an intern at the Chamber for 6 months, Karl took over Cheyanne Brooks position as Marketing/Events Coordinator at the Chamber.

STEPHEN HARDY, AFLAC
Our ambassador of
the month for March 2017 is Stephen Hardy. He has been a part of the Chamber's Ambassador Team for over 2 years. Stephen is the District Sales Coordinator for Aflac for Santa Barbara County. He has been working with Aflac for the last 13 years, opening and servicing accounts, as well as recruiting and training sales
agents for his team.
Leading a team of 8 agents they have worked hard to achieve the Founders Award for Management Excellence from Aflac for the last 7 quarters in a row. Stephen is currently looking to further develop and grow his team, with an emphasis on Spanish speaking agents to better service the needs of Santa Barbara County.

Lure Films began as a film production company in 2011, founded by Ky Schultz and joined by Bria Little in 2015. We quickly found that companies wanted and required video content that looked unique, expressed their brands, and told a captivating story. We also noticed that sometimes
