We are a STEM school BUT our students are so much MORE!!!

Greater Memphis IT Council

Our students participated in the Greater Memphis IT Council Innovate IT Conference this past week. They made us so proud! T-STEM is the recipient of the proceeds from the Silent Auction which took place at the event.

We did not win it this year, but we will be back next year #MustangStrong!

This sign-up is for T-STEM East High School volunteers, both students; and teachers. Transportation will be provided to and from the race site.

All East T-STEM volunteers will meet in front of East High School

Teacher Spotlight

Ms. Banks

A good teacher is a doctor who heals ignorance and an artist who inspires creativity... This statement has driven my passion to educate students for over 10 years in the City of Memphis. During my career, I have taught Read 180, AVID, and English 9-12. I have been an active participant in the Memphis Striving Readers Grant as well as the Gear Up Memphis Grant. Both of these Programs have afforded me opportunity to focus on the educating the whole child. During this year, I have continued to use AVID strategies to prepare my students for school and life. The experiences that I have had this year have enabled me to become fully engrossed in the rich pride and tradition at our school. I look forward to continuing growing the tradition of Excellence for which we are known.

AT&T It Can Wait West TN Host

East High School students join the AT&T * It Can Wait campaign to talk about the dangers of smartphone distracted driving.

Research shows that nearly 9-in-10 people admit to using their smartphone while driving. People are doing much more than texting while behind the wheel.

To illustrate this for the masses, we brought a virtual reality experience to T-STEM East High School. The students came face-to-face with the very real dangers of distracted driving through a shattered glass wall, a fragment memorial wall representing lives lost and a pledge photo wall.
