Empowering Communities: Government Relations and Advocacy 101 for YMCA Leaders

Cultivating Your Inclusive Brand

Building a personal brand isn’t just for entrepreneurs. Cultivating a reputable presence within your organization requires consistency, clarity, and authenticity. In this introductory session we will discuss the foundations of inclusive personal branding and storytelling. You will learn about inclusive language, nurturing relationships, culturally sensitive meetings, and showing up transparently online. This workshop will help participants become confident about making themselves known while honoring their unique identity.

Regional EMLE is a dynamic learning experience designed to help staff of color and other staff from backgrounds underrepresented in YMCA leadership deepen their connection with the Y Movement, discover their potential as cause-driven leaders and grow their careers in the Y. This year’s Regional EMLE theme, “Be A Leader, Leave A Legacy” encourages participants to recognize their own capacity for change and their ability to impact the Y and the communities we serve.
