Regional Economic Diversification Summit Held in Downtown Johnstown
The U.S. Economic Development Administration held a Regional Diversification Summit on Wednesday, July 25th at the Bottle Works Ethnic Center in Downtown Johnstown. Hosted by the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission in partnership with the City of Johnstown and JARI, the intent of the Summit was to address actionable action items that are included in the six-county comprehensive plan, Alleghenies Ahead-Shared Strategies for a Stronger Region.
Topics included improvements to broadband and cellular infrastructure, flood control enhancement and education, blight control and land banking.
Many thanks to all of the agencies and attendees who participated in the event, and especially the Cambria County Alliance and Commissioners for sponsoring the summit.
