Texas 89th Session:
The Texas Legislature filed 9,987 bills this session, dozens of which either directly or indirectly impact grid operations and resiliency. There are multiple bills filed that seek to improve the utility energy efficiency programs and monitor statewide energy conservation and waste reduction efforts. Several bills will impact building and energy codes, as well as significant focus on renewable energy regulations and building out capacity in the Texas energy resource mixture.
