Construction Update for US 550 for July 26-August 1, 2021
REGULAR WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-4 p.m., although crews may work longer hours or weekends if needed.
 
ONGOING:  Traffic is shifted to the north on both eastbound and westbound U.S. 550, with two lanes of traffic open in each direction.

Rio Rancho Celebrates Dunkin’ Return July 28

Dunkin’ is delighted to announce the official grand opening of their new location at 1197 Rio Rancho Blvd SE, in Rio Rancho. To celebrate, community members are invited to a grand opening event on Wednesday, July 28. To show their appreciation for the warm welcome they have received, the Dunkin’ franchisees are offering free medium hot or iced coffee from 8 to 11 a.m. that day.

Rio Ranchos’ Avix School of the Arts will perform from 9-9:30 a.m. Then, Mayor Hull, chamber members and Dunkin’ franchisees Amin Habib, Murad Fazal and Mejinder Bhambra will join for a toast and ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. Following that, Mayor Hull will help serve guests at the drive-thru from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. The restaurant features a drive-thru with both indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate approximately 26 guests. This new Dunkin’ location provides approximately 30 new local jobs.

Upskill Sandoval is a workforce development program that will provide opportunities for the local workforce to pursue training and education opportunities to help build the economy of Sandoval County. The program provides free training and education for Sandoval County residents. 

The partnership is a collaboration of education, workforce development, and local government to help displaced workers receive funding for training and education in high demand fields.
