Regional Planning Consortiums- Fall 2018 Update
Meet our new RPC Team Members:
Over the Summer of 2018, the RPC Team expanded to bring on three new RPC Coordinators:
Melissa Wettengel- Long Island
Melissa's behavioral health experience lies in peer and recovery services, having built and directed two innovative and successful programs on Long Island. Most recently, Melissa launched SHERPA, a team of peer and family recovery coaches supporting opiate overdose survivors in hospital emergency departments. Prior to that, Melissa managed a suite of mental health wellness programs including Turquoise House, a peer-run residential psychiatric crisis respite and hospital diversion service. Melissa has lived on Long Island most of her life, and is near completion of her Master’s in Public Health from Stony Brook University.
Beth Solar- Tug Hill/Seaway
Beth joins us with experience in the healthcare field, starting her career as a medical assistant and later going on to become an LPN. She currently lives in Jefferson County and has more than 15 years of clinical experience, most recently working as a clinical nurse for an outpatient behavioral health office. Beth participated in initiating and follow-through for new policies and procedures in the office, specifically, DSRIP measures, PSYCKES, and best practices. Beth’s professional interest lie in the integration of physical and behavioral health and access to treatment/services. She also has an extended knowledge in health information technology and electronic medical records.
Jacqueline Miller- Mohawk Valley
Jacqueline has worked in geriatric healthcare for the last ten years as the Quality Director for a skilled nursing facility. Jacqueline started her education at Hartwick College studying Anthropology, and later changed gears to go into healthcare as a CNA, furthering her career as an LPN. Jacqueline initiated and ran DSRIP initiatives in the facility, as well as started a successful QAPI program, ensuring the best quality care. Additionally, she has experience with managed care while performing utilization management.
