Network Wins Governor's Tourism Award for Innovative Partnerships

The Innovative Partnership Award recognizes organizations or businesses that have successfully entered into a traditional or non-traditional partnership that resulted in an enhanced visitor experience.
By leveraging traditional and non traditional partnerships, organizations and businesses can maximize budget, capacity and skill set, creating an increase in efficiencies and a higher-level aligned outcome.

Oregon 2021
IAAF World Track & Field Championships Coming to Eugene in August 6-15.
|
History was made when the International Association of Athletics Federations – the world’s governing body for the sport of track and field – awarded the 2021 World Championships to the state of Oregon, the first time the event will be held in the United States.
It’s happening in Eugene, better known as TrackTown USA. This athletic community is famous for its quality tracks and trails, and hosts the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials at the University of Oregon.
The entire state is buzzing with excitement and talking about how each community can welcome guests from around the world while they are here.

Governor Appoints New Member to Oregon Tourism Commission
|
Governor Kate Brown has appointed a new member to the Oregon Tourism Commission (dba Travel Oregon). Lucinda DiNovo, Director of Sales and Marketing for The Mill Casino • Hotel & RV Park in Coos Bay, has been in the hospitality industry for 22 years.
Lucinda has a degree in business management and marketing from Oregon State University. She is a Coos Bay City Councilor, Coos Bay-North Bend Visitor & Convention Bureau Board Member, American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow and has served on numerous boards including the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association and Board of Trustees for Coos History Museum.
"I’m very honored to serve on the Oregon Tourism Commission. I’m passionate about our rural communities and the economic opportunities tourism creates," said Lucinda. "I’m looking forward to working with an organization that shares this same commitment."
"We're excited to have Lucinda join the Oregon Tourism Commission," said Todd Davidson, CEO, Travel Oregon. "Her expertise and experience in tourism and hospitality will help drive Travel Oregon's efforts over the next four years."
The South Coast is proud to have Lucinda represent the Coast.
