The presentation is designed to give local plan commissions and other committees an overview of the planning effort and progress to date. As part of our ongoing effort to develop a Regional Development Framework, CARPC staff reviewed long-range plans from 15 regions across the US. We share a summary of the similarities between plans, how they are implemented, and implications for the Greater Madison region on our website.
CARPC is looking for volunteers to collect water samples in the Starkweather Creek watershed from October 2020 to March 2021. This sampling effort is part of a larger project to create a Chloride Management Plan for the watershed. Learn more and register at carpcwaterqualityplan.org.

Although the annual Dane County Housing Summit won't be taking place in person, the Dane County Housing Initiative Steering Committee will be hosting a series of virtual programs this fall. Each month's session will be available through the same Zoom link, no pre-registration required.
The US Census Bureau is hard at work trying to complete the 2020 Census by September 30th. Ensure a complete count in your community by reminding people about the importance of full participation. There is still time to fill out the census online, over the phone, or by opening the door for census workers collecting in-person responses.
