CSG Signs on to Direct Aid to States and Locals Letter
Five organizations recently signed a letter addressed to Congressional leaders requesting federal aid to states, territories and local governments to compensate for lost revenues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. A key detail of this request is the notation of flexibility in the application of any additional funds, as well as retroactive application to previous relief efforts. Missing and Murdered Indigenous People
In both Canada and the United States, the past several years has given rise to the voices of Indigenous people uniting to create awareness of the thousands of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls. Recent developments in support of awareness include The Raven Project and a proclamation by U.S. President Trump designating May 5 as Missing and Murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives Awareness Day .
