Your New York State Tourism Champions booth was on the move this week, making a strong impact at two major travel events! Nate Gresock represented New York at the Montreal Outdoor Adventure Show alongside Kosta Tsimiklis and Sylvie Nelson, engaging Canadian travelers despite concerns over tariffs and border crossings. Meanwhile, Brooke Wilson showcased New York’s outdoor adventures at the Adirondack Sport Summer Expo, where attendees were eager for hiking, biking, and camping opportunities.

  • Parks & Trails NY needs your help! A proposed $10 million Greenway Trail grant program is in the NYS Budget, but we must urge legislators and the Governor to include it in the final agreement. Sign the support letter by Tuesday, March 25, to make it happen!

Maple Month: Governor Hochul Issues Proclamation Declaring 2025 Maple Weekends in New York State

Governor Kathy Hochul issued a proclamation declaring March 22-23 and March 29-30 as New York State’s 2025 Maple Weekends. The Governor also highlighted that New York State continues to rank second in the nation in maple production, and in 2024, maple production increased to 846,000 gallons, up nearly 100,000 gallons of maple syrup from the 2023 season.
