Activity Description Today’s highly effective leaders need tools, methods, and strategies to manage and champion transformation. The Primary Care Leadership Summit will give you resources to inspire your teams and create a highly productive culture.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Reflect on the challenges and success during COVID-19
- Discuss ways to improve physicians' and patients' decisions in health care
- Recognize that change is difficult but necessary for success and long-term sustainability
Target Audience: This activity is intended for the primary care team leaders including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, care managers, social workers, licensed mental health counselors, behavioral health support specialists, community health workers, community resource specialists, practice managers, medical assistants, and others working in the primary care environment.

Sam Sommers, PhD
Professor Sommers is an experimental social psychologist interested in issues related to stereotyping, prejudice, and group diversity. His research focuses on two general topics: 1) race and social perception, judgment, and interaction; 2) the intersection of psychology and law. In other words, he is interested in how race impacts the way people see and interact with the world in a wide range of social settings. In recognition of this work, in 2008 he received the Saleem Shah Award for Early Career Excellence from the American Psychology-Law Society.

Dr. Nicole Christian-Brathwaite, MD is a nationally recognized Board-Certified Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite is the CEO and Founder of Well Minds Psychiatry and Consulting Company, PLLC. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite has expertise in Perinatal and Post-Partum Mental Health, trauma informed care, telepsychiatry, mental health in communities of color, school psychiatry, implicit bias and racism in mental health. She has extensive clinical experience with adults, children, adolescents, transitional and college aged youth.
