The American College of Podiatric Medicine (ACPM) and The American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) are working collaboratively to provide a monthly educational activity free of charge live online.

This Expert Lecture Series will provide students and residents with an additional didactic activity provided by a diverse group of educators.

Topic: Diabetes-related amputations; the pandemic within a pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the practice of podiatry and worsened the outcomes of our patients, especially those with diabetic foot complications. Recent studies have shown that amputations are increasing as a result of the pandemic. Learn how to optimize care of your diabetic foot patients to make an impact in the delivery of care.

Speaker: Lee C. Rogers, DPM, FFPM RCPS(Glas), FACPM
Dr. Lee Rogers is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is a Fellow Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine. He is also the Associate Editor for the diabetic foot of the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Rogers recently authored guidelines for podiatrist in the triage of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and the "Wound Center Without Walls" manuscript published in WOUNDS.
