Becoming a More Confident Writer

All Drexel Students, Staff and Faculty are invited to attend

Thursday, December 4, 2025

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Online via Zoom

Advance registration is required by Wednesday, December 3

Do you wonder if your writing skills are good enough?

Spend a virtual lunch hour learning how the Drexel Writing Center supports
all members of the University community - students, staff, faculty-- to continue to develop as writers. DWC offers access to free, confidential consultations on writing projects -- from interpreting assignments to planning, drafting, and editing. Individualized to support with assignments, personal statements, scholarly articles for publication, and personal projects -- from initial brainstorming to final revision, the Center is also a resource to help instructors integrate writing and the teaching of writing into the curriculum.

This Lunch & Learn will:

  • Introduce a few “threshold concepts” that writing theorists use to understand writing
  • Offer ways to look at writing through the lens of human diversity—especially language diversity
  • Demonstrate how we work with student writers in a session
  • Give you tips for your own writing productivity

Drexel University, Elkins Park Campus Lunch & Learn Series provides an inter-professional, free opportunity for faculty, administrators, staff and students to share information, strengthen clinical knowledge and develop our community network.
