Southwest Colorado CARE Network

In-Person Visits

Three visits were held in southwest Colorado in early March. CARE Network (CN) provider Faith Koehler helped organize the meeting in Durango (La Plata County) that also included CN provider Meeca Bailey, and an array of professionals from both La Plata and Archuleta counties. In Cortez (Montezuma County), two meetings were held, and CN provider Dr. Moriah Tarpey was among those in attendance. The meetings also included prospective CN providers and behavioral health professionals in both La Plata and Montezuma counties, who expressed their intentions to join the network. These meetings helped socialize the network in those communities, and referral processes to the network were discussed. A big “thank you” to our local providers in those communities and the communities themselves for being such gracious hosts!

CARE Network Annual Training Information

The Annual CARE Network Training will be held on Monday, May 5th for both ongoing and new providers and continue on Tuesday, May 6th, for new providers. The training will be held in Denver this year on the Anschutz Medical Campus where The Kempe Center is located. This will allow you to tour the Center and may also allow for additional experts to participate in providing the training.

For those of you who live outside the immediate Denver Metro area, we are reserving rooms at The Benson Hotel, a boutique hotel, that is only a couple of blocks from where the training will be held on campus. There will be a social event at The Benson on Sunday, May 4th, with appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks provided (the hotel does have a bar accessible). Breakfast, morning snacks, lunches and afternoon snacks, along with beverages, will be provided during the training and catered by Cultivate Kitchen. A variety of delicious food will be available, and to meet most diets, but please let us know if you have any restrictive dietary needs.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

If you are more than four hours away from the Denver area we will reach out to you to see if you would like us to arrange, and pay for, a flight. If you are unable to attend the training this year, please let us know in advance so we may plan accordingly concerning accommodations and food/beverages.

Registration is now available for both Annual and New Provider trainings! Secure your spot by Friday, April 4th. Register for the Annual Provider training here and the New Provider training here.
