About  Eleccin Latina and Ready to Run

The Center for American Women and Politics and LUPE Fund,Inc., together with a steering committee of leaders in the Latino/a community, sponsor Eleccin Latina, a pre-conference session of the New Jersey Ready to Run™ Campaign Training for Women.

Eleccin Latina participants attend a half-day session that targets issues of particular interest to Latinas running for political office.  Eleccin Latina participants then attend
ELLA Ready to Run™ the next day to learn about the nuts and bolts of working on a campaign.

Ready to Run™ offers real-world training and advice from experts on how to launch a campaign and or get involved in public life.

Participants will walk away with: "how-to" instructions on running for office; fundraising and media skills; strategies for positioning yourself for public leadership; a better understanding of party politics; and effective internet strategies for campaigns and advocacy.

The conference features two tracks for women at different points in their political careers: Track 1 - I'm Ready to Run, Now What? and Track 2 - I'm Not Ready to Run Yet, But...
