Dr. Mesa is chair of the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and deputy director at Mayo Clinic Cancer Center in Arizona.  Dr. Mesa is committed to improving therapies and quality of life for patients with chronic myeloid disorders such as myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Dr. H. Joachim Deeg, MD
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

After completing medical school in his home country, Germany, Dr. Deeg traveled to the United States where he completed internship and residency training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Deeg treats bone marrow failure such as aplastic anemia and blood cancers, including myelofibrosis. 
Dr. Laura Michaelis , MD

Presentation:  Confronting common clinical scenarios in MPNs   

Dr. Michaelis is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital and has been active in the research and clinical care of patients with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms for more than a decade. She has a particular interest in the unique ways these diseases impact women and their unique manifestations in patients of different genders and across the age spectrum.

Gretchen Gruender, MS, RDN, CSO
Nutritionist, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance 
  Gretchen earn ed a Master's Degree in Nutrition from B astyr University in Kenmore, WA. She is a Certified Oncology Specialist and Registered Dietitian.  Gretchen Gruender specializes in oncology nutrition, and nutritional counseling.
