Join us for a Talks on Tuesday Webinar series with Carolyn Sparrow, M.S. CCC-SLP and Sara Ware, M.A. CCC-SLP, ATP who will discuss the important topic of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in the Early Intervention setting.

In this second installment, presenters will review AAC implementation best practices, AAC use in daily routines and natural environments, AAC parent coaching and how to complete joint planning with AAC in the EI setting. We look forward to seeing you there!

Carolyn Sparrow M.Ed., CCC-SLP

is a Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Old Dominion University. Carolyn began her career in a school-based setting before transitioning to outpatient and early intervention settings. Carolyn is an NLA trained clinician and has experience providing speech therapy services throughout her lifespan. Carolyn is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practices and providing early access to AAC.

Sara Ware M.A., CCC-SLP, ATP

is a Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Sara holds an additional certificate in Augmentative and Alternative Communication from Stockton University and is a RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional. After beginning her career in a school-based setting, Sara now assumes the role of Lead Therapist in a private outpatient clinic where she is passionate about serving families from the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Sara also provides AAC consultation to the local Early Intervention program, where she is able to facilitate early access to AAC.
