Autism and Neurodiversity:

Supporting Children and Families Through a Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach

DESCRIPTION:

We will explore the profound influence of a neurodiversity-affirming approach in every step of the early intervention process from referral to discharge. Our discussion will include practical strategies to assist families in recognizing their child’s strengths and identifying areas that may benefit from additional support. Importantly, we will emphasize the importance of respecting the diverse ways in which children think, play, learn, and communicate.
