Summer camping at Tall Oaks will bless the children and youth of your congregation beyond measure.
Help our young people grow in FruitFULL Faith by sending them to Tall Oaks!
It is time to register for summer camp! The Camp & Conference committee is pleased to report that our camp directors have been in place since Fall 2022 and plans are well in motion for the summer of fun ahead. Our theme for 2023 is “FruitFULL Faith” based on the InsideOut curriculum of the same name published by Chalice Media.
Please read the following materials, check out our website (www.kcdisciplescamps.org) for online registration and other helpful details including sample schedules, and start encouraging your children, youth, young adults, and grandparents to attend camp at Tall Oaks this summer.
• Early bird registrations (in before May 1st, 2023) reduce the regular rate by $50 (or $5 for Day Camps)! Please register early! (Note: prices on the website reflect the early bird rate and will automatically go up by $50/$5 on May 1st)
• Online registration is open NOW: www.kcdisciplescamps.org. Online Registration is highly preferred and encouraged -- if you cannot register online, please contact us so that we can help you register.
• If your congregation offers a discount for their campers, that discount will load in the online registration after you select your church from the drop-down menu. Note: If someone selects a congregation of which they are not a part, your congregation may refuse to pay the discount. If this happens, they will receive a bill for the portion of the camp fee that they were not charged when registering.
• At any time, if you would like to know which individuals from your congregation are already registered for camp, please contact us. We will be happy to provide that information to help you as you encourage your church families to attend!
COVID-19 POLICY: Our 2023 Covid-19 policy remains the same as 2022. In short, this means that masks are optional and all campers/staff must provide either a record of their up to date Covid-19 vaccinations/boosters -OR- proof of a negative Covid test taken within 48 hours of camp drop off. Note: we reserve the right to change our policy in the event of rising Covid cases and risk levels. If the policy changes, all registrants will be notified.
We are mailing copies of the camp packet to every congregation this week which includes:
1) Poster—please make copies and post in several locations in your church
2) Camp price sheet
3) Scholarship application for any campers who might need a camp scholarship
. . .and we are including a link to a digital version of the packet below.
Besides campers, we need people eager to serve Christ and others by being a volunteer counselor at camps. If you have qualified adults, have them contact us as soon as possible. If your congregation is able and willing, please consider paying a quarter or half camp fee for any adults from your church who are serving as counselors. This helps our camp budget to cover counselors and supplies/activities without raising prices beyond what families are able to pay.
