Register Now for the 10th Grade Field Trip!

Our 10th Grade Class will visit Phoenix Symphony Hall on January 28 for an Opera performance of The Pirates of Penzance.

Deadline to pay/register: December 4, 2026

Grade and Subject: 10th grade music/choir

Educational Objective: Exposure to cultural event to grow in appreciation of music and performance. The opera will be performed in English.

Details of the day: Buses will leave during 1st period and attend Symphony Hall (75 N 2nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004) where they will watch the performance (Estimated Running Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one 30-minute intermission). Buses will return to the school during 6th period and pickup will be as usual, at the end of the day.

Items to Bring: Bring a sack lunch with your name on it (nothing requiring microwaves). If you typically purchase Hot Lunch, remember to cancel your order for this day. Water bottle is optional and might need to be stored in the lobby area during performance. Per Symphony Hall security rules, no bags larger than 8.5" x 5x5" are allowed.

Dress Code:

School uniform required
Dress code violations will be sent home from school in the morning and field trip fee will not be refunded.

Field Trip Rules: If a scholar is found breaking any rules, they may stay on the bus for the rest of the day with a chaperone, and parents will be contacted. Possible disciplinary actions include confiscation of property, notification to parents, and detention or suspension.

Cell phones and electronic devices are NOT allowed.
Horseplay, goofing off, or public displays of affection will not be allowed. No teasing, fighting, bullying, defiance of authority, willful destruction of property, or disrespect of adults/scholars will be tolerated. No threats of violence whether verbal, physical, sexual, or pretend threats will be tolerated.
Anything disrupting or potentially dangerous to other scholars or chaperones is prohibited.

If you are willing to chaperone the field trip, please indicate during checkout. The field trip leader will reach out by email if we have a spot available for you to join the trip as a chaperone. If you are not a chaperone, you are not allowed to attend the field trip. You must have current Raptor clearance to volunteer as a chaperone. Field Trip Eligibility Any in-school or out-of-school suspensions during the school year will put your field trip eligibility under review by the Headmaster.
