| | Kitsap County Holiday Recycle Guide | | |
The holiday season brings joy—and extra waste. From shipping boxes and gift wrap to worn-out lights and decorations, it all adds up quickly. We’re here to help your business and community dispose of holiday materials properly.
Helpful Resources
Holiday Lights
Don’t throw out those tangled or burnt-out string lights. String lights are accepted year-round in the metal scrap bins at both Silverdale Recycling and Garbage Facility and Olympic View Transfer Station.
Christmas Trees
Once the decorations are packed away, give your bare tree or wreath a second life—turn it into mulch instead of sending it to the landfill! Schedule a curbside pickup, drop it off at a local site, or even support community fundraisers while you’re at it.
For details and locations, visit kcowa.us/treecycle.
Let’s work together to reduce, reuse, and recycle this holiday season!
