Honoring Histories, Healing Communities: Cultural Sensitivity and Historical Trauma in Healthcare

November 21, 2024

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM CT

1.5 hour CE/CME

Join us to explore key strategies for delivering culturally sensitive and equitable healthcare to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. In this webinar, nurses will learn how to develop communication and collaboration skills that build trust and respect individual preferences and cultural needs. We will also delve into the historical and ongoing impacts of trauma on AI/AN health, offering guidance on how to implement practices that prevent re-traumatization and support healing. Finally, the webinar will equip nurses to advocate for and deliver equitable care by addressing health disparities and incorporating culturally relevant approaches to improve outcomes in AI/AN communities.
