How Safe is Your Space? Preventing and Managing Violence in the Workplace

A Crucial Virtual Event

Wednesday, June 12 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Healthcare has always had a focus on safety, whether to protect against infection, occupational injury or attacks against staff.

Unfortunately, it is the last item — violence against healthcare workers requiring our focus. According to data from the Joint Commission, a U.S. healthcare accreditation organization, workers in healthcare settings are four times more likely to be assaulted than workers in private industry and during the COVID-19 pandemic, studies reported an increase in violence and verbal abuse from primarily patients and their family members.

Led by our seasoned expert in the field of workplace safety, this webinar provides a comprehensive overview of the factors contributing to workplace violence and equips participants with practical tools to prevent and effectively manage such incidents. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the warning signs and triggers of workplace violence, empowering them to recognize and address potential threats proactively.
