This program is intended for defense attorneys and other members of the defense team, including investigators, social workers, and mitigation specialists.

MCLE
NYSDA has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of Continuing Legal Education in the State of New York (2019–2022) in traditional and non-traditional formats. This transitional/nontransitional program has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the Continuing Legal Education Board for experienced attorneys – a maximum of 3.5 credit hours each day, of which 1 credit hour can be applied toward Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias on November 9, 2021, and 0.5 credit hours can be applied toward Ethics and Professionalism on November 16, 2021; for newly admitted attorneys – a maximum of 2.0 credit hours on November 9, 2021, and a maximum of 3.5 credit hours on November 16, 2021, of which 0.5 credits hours can be applied toward Ethics and Professionalism. Only experienced attorneys may earn credit in the Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias category of CLE credit for attending diversity programs. No CLE credit may be earned for repeat attendance at any accredited CLE activity.
