The purpose of this intensive, all-day training is to give participants an introduction to basic California family law practice and procedure. The training is primarily directed towards preparing volunteers to help clients.
Center staff and volunteers will conduct the training in lecture and small group formats. By the end of the day, participants will have been exposed to key family law concepts and forms and learned more about their role as Center volunteers. After the training, volunteers are matched with the Center's program needs based on prior experience, training and education.
