Howard County Chamber Intercity Visit Taking Form
Efforts to take a group of 20-30 business and civic leaders alongside County Executive Calvin Ball and elected and appointed officials to Somerset County, New Jersey beginning to take form. To view the draft itinerary, click here .
Visit dates will be September 15-17.
Attendees will study and discuss best practices in economic and community development, flood mitigation, and environmental stewardship. 



We are looking to provide scholarship opportunities to a few Elected and Appointed Officials to join our Intercity Visit in Somerset County, NJ. If you are interested in contributing to this scholarship please contact the Howard County Chamber at (410) 730-4111.

County Executive Ball and the Columbia Downtown Housing Corporation signed an MOU to launch the 'Live Where You Work' program. The program will provide rental subsidies and home ownership seminars to low and moderate-income residents who work for HCGH and seek to live near their workplace in Downtown Columbia.
County Council Announces New Administrator
County Council announced that Diane Schwartz Jones will serve as the new Council Administrator, taking over for Jessica Feldmark.
Before taking this position, Jones served as the Director of the Department of Permitting Services for Montgomery County. In her new position Jones will direct the legislative activities and orchestrate daily operations of the County Council.
MARYLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Policymakers, as well as representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as confirmed speakers who will be addressing a number of important topics including healthcare, cybersecurity, education, immigration, and many more.

This event is an opportunity to meet directly with policymakers and business leaders on Capitol Hill.
