Have you heard about the new S. A. L. T. appeal?

Women of the ELCA's fundraising team has launched a new appeal to close last year’s $250,000 funding gap. The appeal’s name comes from Leviticus 2:13 “Add salt to all your offerings.” This bit from Leviticus gives instructions on how to season grain offerings made to God and gives us an important message: We are not just called to give our “first fruits” but to offer them with seasoning. We define salt as a verb: Share Abundance, Love, and Thanks! (SALT).

Consider adding a little SALT to your donation to Women of the ELCA: Where Needed Most. Your generosity supports our day-to-day operations (salaries, insurance, postage, technology, rent) and allows us to continue our women’s ministries, anti-racist efforts, Gather magazine, Bold Café, scholarships, grants, and so much more!

Please encourage those you know to SALT their offerings to Women of the ELCA too.

Make your special SALT donation today!

Donate by check: Please send a check to Women of the ELCA, ELCA Gift Processing Center, PO Box 1809, Merrifield VA 22116-8009. Put SALT in the memo line.

Summer Bible study for 2025

Download part three of the three-part summer Bible study, "Where two or more are gathered: Flourishing in relationships" by the Rev. Dr. Brooke Petersen.

(August) Session Three: Relationships that push us to grow: For such a time as this

Relationships aren’t always comfortable. There are times when we find ourselves navigating the painful work of growing and changing in our relationships. This session explores the story of Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai. How can we draw on the stories of our faith when we face great challenges in our lives and relationships with others? We’ll explore how vulnerability, trust and the power of faithful friendships help us to grow.

Download session three.
