Daylong Intensive on Cooperative Development

Kicking off the conference activities, the USFWC, along with MIT's CoLab and GEO, is hosting a daylong intensive on worker cooperative development.  The session is open to the public but focused on worker cooperative developers and worker cooperatives engaged in supporting cooperative development. Plenaries will lay out models and key issues, and smaller breakouts will be strongly facilitated to focus on a critical and forward-thinking evaluation of these models and issues.

Space is limited to 150 people. Conference attendees can add this session to the conference for $55. People wishing to attend only the daylong development intensive may do so for a cost of $100.
Scholarships & Travel Funding
Options for registration and travel scholarships

LOW INCOME REGISTRATION
We are offering a $100 flat fee low-income registration, intended for Boston community groups, youth groups, and others who may not be able to afford full registration. There are a limited number of low income registrations. Low income registrations must purchase food separately on the day of the conference.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We will also offer a limited amount of scholarships to attend the conference. To apply, please fill out the online scholarship application. Scholarship application deadlines are May 10 and May 22. The sooner you apply, the better your chances.

LARGE GROUPS

We have had several organizations inquire about bringing a group of their members. For large groups, we recommend a Workplace Pass, which saves the cost of almost one whole registration.

For nonprofits and community groups, we recommend applying to  the Common Counsel Foundation Grassroots Exchange Fund as soon as possible, and once that funding is determined, applying to USFWC for the balance.

TRAVEL FUNDING
The USFWC does not offer travel subsidies. However, we are in contact with funders who do support travel. We recommend you connect to these sources for travel funding:

Ralph K Morris Foundation Cooperative Leadership Fund

Common Counsel Foundation Grassroots Exchange Fund
Vendor Fair and Tables

We're planning a vendor fair of informational tables and booths - maybe even a carnival-style midway! The DAWN Ask-A-Peer-Advisor Booth with be there, as will the various loan funds, cooperative publications, and projects in the works. Vendor tables are $25/day for a full table.

To reserve a table, please contact Stephanie at sneely@usworker.coop.
