The New Jersey State Council on the Arts is pleased to share part two of The Business of Being an Artist Workshop Series - “Crowdsourced Funding: A Holistic Approach for Artists.” This series of workshops is free and open to any artist, teaching artist, or folk artist who lives and/or works in the state of New Jersey.

This webinar will provide a foundation for understanding current practices in crowdfunding creative projects from a holistic artist-centric perspective. Attendees will be guided through the essentials of running a successful campaign. The workshop will cover everything from the basics of crowdfunding and essential tips for success to common pitfalls and strategies for mobilizing supporters. Learn how to create a compelling campaign page, leverage email outreach, and sustain momentum throughout your campaign.

This workshop will be facilitated by Eileen Jerrett. Eileen is a renowned filmmaker and crowdfunding expert with 12+ years of experience, and has led thousands of campaigns to success. Her background as Indiegogo's Creative Projects Director and a filmmaker equips her with an understanding of challenges artists face in funding their work and unique insights to help them excel. She now dedicates her expertise to helping artists secure funding while maintaining creative control. By learning from Eileen, you'll gain invaluable strategies to successfully navigate crowdfunding and turn your idea into reality.

Registration is free, but is required to access the workshop.

Registration Deadline: February 19, 2025.
