Registration is open for IMRF's 2019 Employer Rate Meetings. Held at various locations throughout the state, these meetings will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers. IMRF Executive Director Brian Collins and Chief Financial Officer Mark Nannini will conduct the meetings.

IMRF encourages Authorized Agents, chief financial officers, governing body members, and other officials and interested parties from your employer to attend a meeting scheduled in your area.

Registration

Advance registration is requested for the Employer Rate Meetings. Authorized Agents and Web Assistants may self-register through Employer Access. To register attendees who don't have an Employer Access account, contact IMRF at 1-800-728-7971 or send a secure message and include the attendee's name, your employer number, and the selected Employer Rate Meeting.

Webinar

IMRF will also present an Employer Rate Meeting webinar in mid-May. Additional details about the webinar will be shared in the next Employer Digest and online at www.imrf.org.

Available in March

IMRF's SOC-1 Type 2 Report will be available this month in the "Display Annual Documents" section of Employer Access. This report is needed by some IMRF employers for financial reporting purposes. In the report, independent auditors examined and verified the adequacy of IMRF's internal controls.

Available April 1

Your employer's 2020 Preliminary Contribution Rate Notice will be available in Employer Access in the "Display Annual Documents" section beginning Monday, April 1, 2019. This notice provides your employer's estimated 2020 annual contribution rate for its IMRF plans, and is necessary for financial planning, accounting, and reporting purposes.

IMRF will also release your employer's 2018 Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) 50 Footnote Disclosure Statement on Monday, April 1.

You will see an alert in Employer Access when the documents are available. Please provide these important documents to your employer's chief financial officer.

Register today for an employer workshop in your area to learn more about IMRF procedures and how to administer IMRF at your employer. Employer workshops are open to Authorized Agents and other employer representatives, and attendance is free.

As a reminder, IMRF is going green with our employer workshops. In an effort to decrease the amount of paper we use, employer workshop materials are now available online only. To review the presentation before your scheduled workshop, visit our Employer Workshops page and click the link in the promo on the right side of the page.
