Information to be covered
The Rate Meeting webinars will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers. IMRF Executive Director Brian Collins and Chief Financial Officer Mark Nannini will conduct the meetings.

Employers will be able to ask questions using a chat function during the calls.
Important IMRF Documents Available in Employer Access
Four documents are now available in the "Display Annual Documents" section of Employer Access.

  • Your employer's 2022 Preliminary Contribution Rate Notice provides your employer's estimated 2022 annual contribution rate for its IMRF plans, and is necessary for financial planning, accounting, and reporting purposes. 
  • Your employer's 2020 Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) 68 Report and 2020 Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) 50 Footnote Disclosure Statement are also available.
  • IMRF's SOC-1 Type 2 Report is needed by some IMRF employers for financial reporting purposes. In the report, independent auditors examined and verified the adequacy of IMRF's internal controls.  

Please provide these important documents to your employer's chief financial officer.
Quarterly Employer Survey
To ensure that IMRF practices its mission to provide the highest quality retirement services to you and your members, we conduct periodic surveys to gather your feedback. Your input is important to us, as it helps us learn what we are doing well and identify opportunities for improvement.

Topic of survey
Earlier this week, Authorized Agents and Web Assistants received IMRF's 2021 Employer Survey. The survey centers on our Employer 1-800 number and should take less than five minutes to complete.

March Board Meeting Highlights
On Friday, March 26, 2021, the IMRF Board of Trustees:

  • Approved a proposal to engage Sentinel Technologies, Inc. for cybersecurity consulting services. 
  • Heard about the status of the Horizon project, which is modernizing our pension system’s technology.

Workshop structure
This workshop is a 4-part series to prepare IMRF Authorized Agents. This link will allow you to attend Module 4 in April. Or you may register for the full series, which starts again in May. You are unable to cancel registration from any single module, but attendance is not mandatory at all four.

Together, these four 1-hour webinars cover the topics included in the former one-day workshop. Each webinar stands alone, and you can attend them in any order.
