Apprenticeship Navigator Webinar Series Recap


Our 6-part Apprenticeship Navigator Webinar series is complete. Each webinar covers a specific topic about Registered Apprenticeships in 15 minutes. Apprenticeship Navigator is facilitated by Workforce Strategies Group, through Georgia Mountains Works and WorkSource Georgia Mountains, and is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s SAEF grant to expand registered apprenticeship programs (RAPs).

Panel Built Tour


We recently toured Panel Built, a proud GMW partner and custom structure manufacturer based in Blairsville! Clair Ruess and Steve Grzesik gave us a behind-the-scenes look at one of their six locations. With over 300 employees and growing, their headquarters is expanding by 80,000 sq. ft. Big thanks to Panel Built for showing us how it’s done in Union County!

  • Highlight an employee who has taken advantage of your company's tuition reimbursement programs int he office and on social media.
  • Ask existing employee's if they'd like to be a peer-to-peer mentor for new employees.
  • Share industry-specific webinars or conferences that employees can attend.

Students toured Harbin Lumber, Team Metal Finishing, ASI Southeast, American Woodmark, and GM Wood Products and employers interviewed students on graduation day.
