5 Tips to Help You Cope
Caregivers helping loved ones with dementia may begin to neglect their own self-care. The AA recommends:
  1. Managing your stress levels with relaxation techniques to avoid developing physical symptoms of stress
  2. Be realistic about the behaviors and changes you can and can't help with
  3. Know you're doing your best
  4. Take breaks for yourself
  5. Accept changes as they occur and accept help when needed
